008: Introducing the Filter Bar

Hello again!

Filter bar. This is another thing we’ve been desperate to show you. As you may have seen, your Links feed now has a series of filters at the top that scroll in a ticker. The filters are based on your last 100 or so saved links and dynamically regenerate every so often. Here’s one of mine from this week.

We have never wanted you to tag things yourself and put them into folders. We started with chat to let you find links with natural speech. With these filters, we want to anticipate you.

Your filters should inspire you with your own saved links and, perhaps, create connections between bookmarks you may never have thought of. All while keeping our design beautiful and simple.
